Shetland Amenity Trust, Scotland

Shetland Amenity Trust is a charitable trust which champions Shetland’s unique heritage and culture.

It is responsible for protecting and developing Shetland’s archaeology, architecture, woodlands, environment, place names and natural heritage as well as interpreting Shetland’s heritage and culture. It maintains the Shetland Museum and Archives and supports the network of community museums located throughout the isles. Since 2009 the Trust is also responsible for promoting Shetland as a place to visit, live, work and study.
